If you come from the South, on the A1 Motorway, pass Florence and exit at Calenzano/Sesto Fiorentino pay toll, here you can admire the amazing “WHEEL” by Dani Karavan, but do not forget to turn right and follow the signs for Barberino del Mugello (there are about 6 roundabouts before you can drive into S8 road that will lead you right to us after about 15 minutes). If you arrive by night, do not lose courage if the road is not brightly lit and you start to fear wolves are going to devour you, just give us a ring and we'll happily tell you: “you are only five minutes away"!

By train

(Adventure in Tuscany)
Well, if you decide to travel by train, you are brave, because we are in the middle of nature in the romantic Tuscan hills, 20 km away from Florence and basically out of town, so the last bus service from Florence is at about 7pm, same for the return journey and about no service on Sundays. In any case people say they have a good time here with us, especially in Summer, so if you come off the train at Santa Maria Novella of Florence and have a strong and healthy constitution, take the exit on the right, look for the SITA bus stop, get on the bus that goes to Barberino del Mugello (via Calenzano) that will bring you to our hotel in about one hour. Ask the driver to wake you up when you get to Pontenuovo di Calenzano, there is only one but stop so you cannot miss it. On your left, you will see copper columns with Hotel La Selva engraved, a white road, two highly respectable hills … and then us. If you arrive alive without cursing, you have earned yourself a packed lunch!
