The 17th century and Neoclassic style are embodied by the Fontana del Bacchino (Small Bacchus fountain) and the Metastasio Theater, and the avant guard period is represented by the “Luigi Pecci” Center of Contemporary Art, an international reference point for today's modern artistic trends. The Mugello
The mountains behind Florence go up and beyond to the Emilia Romagna region and then reappear as Tuscan hills all the way to the city, conforming the Mugello area, a place of pristine nature and not many inhabitants, and where one can make out from among the thick holm oak, beech, and chestnut forest, ancient villages and Renaissance villas. Hotel La Selva is part of this special landscape, among the cities of Calenzano, on the slopes of the forest-covered Monte Morello, crossed by brooks and the bare and chalky hills of Calvana, and Barberino del Mugello, near Bilancino Lake, and by towns such as San Piero a Sieve, Scarperia, Borgo San Lorenzo, from which start many of the trails perfect for exiting trekking outings in the midst of the woods, and where you can go on great expeditions on horseback or bicycle. By plane
Florence Airport Amerigo Vespucci is 19 km from Hotel La Selva. Take the bus shuttle for Stazione S.M.N. of Florence, from here continue with the bus for Barberino del Mugello (via Calenzano). Get off at Pontenuovo, Hotel La Selva is at 200 meters from the stop.

By train
From Stazione S.M.N. of Florence (20 km) continue with the bus to Barberino del Mugello (via Calenzano). Get off at Pontenuovo, Hotel La Selva is at 200 meters from the stop.

By car
Coming from the north, from Highway A1 Bologna – Florence, exit at Barberino del Mugello and continue towards Calenzano. After 10 km you will see Hotel La Selva on your left. You will have arrived. Coming from the south, from Highway A1 Florence – Bologna, exit at Calenzano. After the toll booth, turn right and follow directions for Barberino del Mugello. From any direction take highway A1 Bologna – Florence and exit at Calenzano. After the toll booth turn right and follow directions for Barberino del Mugello, after 10 km you will see Hotel La Selva on your right. You will have arrived.
